Designer Toys and Urban Vinyl toys have been an interesting offshoot of street culture since their emergence in the early 1990's. Although they use the same material and mass manufacturing methods employed by major toy manufacturers. This small scale manufacturing strategy is integral to their appeal, and offers an open playground for the designer to communicate their point of view, and explore an aesthetic, or experiment in the realm of toy production. This provides an opportunity for me to work in this medium to express my personality and even create a brand identity based on my character.
